Collin Nash in concert Friday, July 14, 2017
Faded cowboy boots, ripped up jeans, a led Zeppelin t shirt and his grandpa’s feed store cap. If anybody looked how they sounded, look no further than Collin Nash!
Collin hails from humble beginnings in Salem Missouri, born to two praise team leaders in the local Baptist church. At 4 years old, Collin was leading praise and worship services. When he wasn’t singing gospel tunes, he was being spoon fed country and Blues by his grandfather. “My Grandpa was one of the main reasons I picked up a guitar. I remember watching him and my uncle play George Jones tunes and thinking “dang, that’s so cool. I gotta do this too.”
Collin picked the guitar up at age 11 and fell in love with the creative aspect of music. “I started listening to guys like John Mayer, Glenn Campbell, and Kris Kristofferson and fell in love with the idea of Songwriting.”
The moment that changed Collins musical life, was the first time he heard a Led Zeppelin record.
“When I heard Jimmy Page play the riff to Dazed & Confused, that was it. That was my musical epiphany. I had to go make my own way.”
Collin currently lives in Nashville, writing songs for other artists and building a name for himself as an artist. He is currently touring with his band and playing shows all over the south and Midwest.
His blend of country roots, 70’s Rock and Arena Rock is a sound you must here, and a show you have to see!!
